NetEase and CCP have just revealed the release date of EVE Echoes, the mobile pop-up based on the massive online hit EVE Online. As part of a special show earlier today, Wei Su, NetEase's # 1 producer, confirmed that EVE Echoes will be coming to iOS and Android in August 2020. DEVEloped As a joint venture between Chinese NetEase and EVE Online CCP games, EVE Echoes brings EVE experience to a whole new world of Players who may have missed a space race on the desktop and don't have to wait long.

All The EVE all the Time

Over the course of an hour, three of EVE Echoes' development team answered questions and gave fans of Twitch Chat a wide range of information about the upcoming science fiction MMORPG game. While anyone who watches the trailer quickly thinks EVE Echoes looks suspiciously like EVE, there are certainly some differences. EVE Online fans in the original space will likely know that EVE Echoes descends to stars in a whole new world very similar to EVE's main timeline. Rather than the mind-boggling space produced by CCP servers, EVE Echoes will have a galaxy slightly smaller than 8,000 planets and massive battles for over 100 ships. Well, it probably isn't that small after all.

In addition to the massive space adventure, this mobile launch offers a great opportunity for new players to enter the EVE with a myriad of systems designed to make it a little easier on this new platform. EVE Echoes tutorial systems are designed to simulate new players toward their preferred play style, and the latest beta test has resulted in an autopilot system that shouldn't let travelers spend their time traveling in space. Of course, iOS and Android players will also find that they don't have to pull out the keyboard and mouse, as you can see from the repeated mobile user interface of recent years.

The Old New Enemy

Yan-Jung was first revealed today in many parts of the game in Flow. Since playing a major role in the wider tradition of EVE Echoes, Yan-Jung is an ancient breed, not entirely new to the EVE world. This interstellar mystery left New Eden long ago and has had little effect. We have not yet learned what this return of strength means. What we do know is that the race relies heavily on Eastern influences to diversify the world of EVE echoes.

ISK

Perhaps most important to the players attending Twitch Live are the three terrifying words, push to win. Earning income with EVE Echoes includes a monthly ticket and allows players to purchase items such as their Mega Clone version. We don't have full details on this, but some on-screen information shows that the PLEX and ISK will be in a very similar position to the EVE's large-screen version. Unlike many online multiplayer games, it seems that EVE Echoes will not be able to buy the largest ship and go to victory.
