EVE Online Warps From Steam To Epic Games Store Dec-07-2021
EVE Online, the sci-fi MMORPG with an enormous galaxy to explore and in-depth mechanics to enjoy, is now free-to-play on Epic Games Store.
Since its launch back in 2003, EVE Echoes ISK Online has amassed a player base of over 500,000 members. The persistent nature of the game's world means that the galaxy of New Eden is always changing, with different factions taking control of regions only to lose them to rival groups. Players mainly traverse the world by piloting spaceships, with a warp drive capable of expediting travel to far-away locations. A player-driven open economy is also featured, creating a wildly immersive sci-fi world. To help new players access this complex title, an EVE Online Academy system was introduced in June 2021. The resource helps new players understand the game and plan out a career path, making the start of their journey a bit less difficult.
CCP Games' space-based massively multiplayer online role-playing game, EVE Online, is now available on the Epic Games Store. The 2003 title is renowned for its truly gargantuan scale, with a single shared game world containing its own economy and history of warfare. In October 2020 EVE Online hosted the largest PvP battle in gaming history, with more than 8,000 players participating in a 14-hour long spaceship altercation.
As the next giant leap for the sci-fi MMORPG, EVE Online is now free to play on the Epic Games Store. The title was previously distributed through Steam, but the new venue's free-to-play distribution will allow an entirely new community of players to access EVE Online. Combined with a recently revamped new player experience and a plethora of new in-game activities, now is a perfect opportunity for new pilots to blast off into the massive game.
While the EVE Online community is known for its competitive economics and deadly spaceship battles, it has also done some real-world good as well. The title's Project Discovery mechanic allows players to map cell structures in exchange for in-game currency. In June 2020, developer CCP Games began a Project Discovery phase meant to help fight COVID-19 by tracing the virus' effect on human blood cells. The initiative generated more than 40 million data submissions, with many of them contributing the scientific research on the coronavirus.
Cheap EVE Mobile ISK Online's arrival on the Epic Games Store will expose a whole new audience to the immersive sci-fi MMORPG. The game's free-to-play availability will no doubt lead to a massive expansion of its already huge player base, which will likely push its economy and large-scale battles even further. The world of New Eden is ready to expand, and the galactic community will expand with it.
